Quick Harissa houmous!

In the category ‘never store bought again’,  Harissa Houmous. Experiment with the ingredients, add a grilled sweet pepper, a beet root or different herbs like thyme or coriander. 


  • 400g Chickpeas
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Harissa
  • 1 Tsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tsp. Paprika
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 3-4 Tbsp. Tahini
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Water depending on the consistency you like
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients a food processor and mix until smooth.
  2. Top the houmous with olive oil to keep from drying out and keep in the fridge up to 2 weeks!
  3. Serve with flat bread, carrots, tagine” href=”http://running-with-wolves.com/?p=1195″>tagine, top rice cakes, serve with nourish bowls, you name it
  4. Enjoy!
