Ketjap fried tempeh

A wonderful way to flavour tempeh. 


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. Ketjap manis
  • 2 Tbsp. Runny honey
  • A block of tempeh

DIRECTIONS

  1. Slice the tempeh in ½ cm pieces and steam in a bamboo basket or steam pan for about 7-8 minutes. Don’t have a steamer? No problem! Just place the tempeh on a high plate on the bottom of a pan and fill the pan with a little water (make sure not to get the tempeh wet!).
  2. Combine marinade ingredients, cover the tempeh and let marinade for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Gently fry the tempeh on a low to medium heat for about 10 minutes or until a little crispy.
  4. Eat in a stir fry, chillies, ramen soups, salads, wraps or simply by itself as a snack.
  5. Enjoy!
